Website Design Audit — UX, Mobile, Brand Consistency

Does your site look good, work on every device, and stay on-brand across all pages?

    What We Check

Design isn't subjective when you measure it. We quantify your site's UX across 8 dimensions — from CTA placement to touch target sizes — and compare every page against your homepage for consistency.

    CTA Detection

We identify call-to-action buttons and links using multilingual keyword matching. We check placement (above the fold, repeated in content), visibility, contrast, and whether CTAs are present on every key page.

    Font Inventory

Every font family, weight, and size used across your site is catalogued. We flag when you're using more than 3 font families (slows loading) or when font sizes are inconsistent across similar elements.

    Color Inventory

Full extraction of your color palette from CSS. We identify primary, secondary, and accent colors, then flag palette drift — when similar-but-not-identical colors appear (e.g., #333 and #2d2d2d used interchangeably).

    Hero Section Analysis

We detect hero sections and evaluate their effectiveness: is there a clear headline, a supporting subtitle, a CTA, and a visual element? The hero is the first thing visitors see — it has 3 seconds to communicate your value.

    Mobile at 375px

We render your site at iPhone SE width (375px) and check for horizontal overflow, text readability, touch target sizing, and layout breakage. This is the smallest common screen size — if it works here, it works everywhere.

    Touch Targets

Every interactive element is measured against the 44x44px minimum recommended by Apple and Google. Small touch targets cause frustration and accidental taps, especially for users with motor impairments.

    Brand Consistency

Cross-page comparison of fonts, colors, logo placement, button styles, and heading patterns. Inconsistency erodes trust — we measure exactly how consistent your brand presentation is.

    What You Learn

Design findings are backed by measurements, not opinions. Here's what real design audit findings look like.

No CTA above the fold on your homepage

Visitors see a large hero image and a tagline, but the first call-to-action button is below the fold. On mobile, users must scroll 2.5 screen-heights to find it. Adding a primary CTA to the hero section is the single highest-impact design change you can make.

5 font families in use — recommended maximum is 3

Your site loads Open Sans, Roboto, Lato, Montserrat, and Playfair Display. Each additional font adds 50-150 KB to page weight and creates visual inconsistency. We recommend consolidating to 2 families: one for headings, one for body.

32 touch targets smaller than 44x44px on mobile

These include your navigation links (36x20px), footer links (auto height), and inline text links with no padding. On touch devices, visitors frequently tap the wrong element. The fix is straightforward: increase padding on clickable elements.

    Why This Matters

Visitors form an opinion about your site in 50 milliseconds. That snap judgment is based entirely on design: layout, colors, typography, and visual hierarchy. If your site looks dated or cluttered, visitors leave before reading a single word.

Design problems compound. A missing CTA means visitors can't convert. Inconsistent fonts make your brand feel unprofessional. Small touch targets on mobile cause frustration that drives people to your competitors. Each issue alone seems minor — but together, they create a user experience that actively works against your business goals.

The most common response we hear from clients: "I knew something felt off, but I couldn't put my finger on it." That's exactly what this audit solves. We turn vague feelings into specific, measurable findings with clear fixes. Your designer or developer gets a prioritized punch list instead of subjective feedback.
